Calorad Diets: Miracle Supplement or Expensive Jell-O?

Calorad diets have become a very controversial topic in the past few years. Depending on who you talk to, Calorad is either a miracle weight loss supplement or a complete waste of money that has no significant weight loss effects. Whether or not it works seems to depend on YOU…

Calorad Diets and Jell-O

In case you don’t know, Calorad is a clear liquid food supplement that is composed mainly of collagen hydrolysate, or hydrolyzed collagen. It contains 14 calories per serving with 4 grams of protein, 0 grams of fat, and 1 gram of carbohydrates. Collagen is an animal protein (extracted from certified beef or fish) that is not too different from the gelatin used in Jello products. It’s just more refined and concentrated.

No one really knows why collagen seems to help some people lose weight. There‘s evidence that it may help increase Human Growth Hormone levels during sleep, which would account for the fat loss and muscle gain seen in many users.

Calorad the Miracle Supplement

One thing seems certain: Calorad DOES work very, very well for some people. Through our research we’ve found cases in which Calorad users lost over 50 lbs of fat after only 3 months of use. Many of those who don’t report significant weight loss DO note greatly increased energy levels and much improved sleep quality.

One of the most interesting things about Calorad is that it spares muscle tissue, which is something that we always look for in quick weight loss methods. Maintaining muscle tissue is vitally important for keeping the fat off over the long term because the more muscle you have, the more calories your body burns at rest.

Calorad the Rip Off

Calorad is not especially cheap. A month’s supply is usually over $50. Since it takes some people 3 months of consistent daily use to see results, you could be out $150 before you even know if it works for you! Obviously, if it doesn’t, you’re not going to be too happy.

Then again, if it DOES work, you’re going to be very, VERY happy!

Bottom Line: Calorad Diets and You

Calorad is a promising supplement that gives tremendous results to some people. The manufacturer claims a success rate of 85% after 3 months of use. From our research and observations, we’d put it closer to 50%. That’s right, you have about a 50/50 chance of seeing significant fat loss on this product. Also, despite the manufacturer’s claims, we highly recommend that you eat a healthy, balanced diet and continue to exercise while taking this or any other quick weight loss supplement.

In the end, if you can afford it, you probably want to give Calorad a try. The potential upside is very good. You could be losing a good amount of weight within a week of starting on the supplement. Even if you don’t lose a ton of weight, you’re very likely to have more energy and a greater overall sense of well-being. Then again, you may just feel like you ate $150 worth of Jell-O…
