hi. i'm a very athletic teenager and i'd consider myself
as being "in-shape" but i'd like to have a flat stomach.
i have this roll right below my belly button and sit-ups
have not gotten rid of it. do you have any suggestion?

Answer

First of all, if you're talking about the normal thin layer
of abdominal fat that most women have, don't worry about
it. It's "functional fat" that serves a purpose and is
extremely difficult (and often unhealthy) to lose.

HOWEVER, if it really is a "roll" that actually sticks out
from the belly, you can usually get rid of it by
increasing your cardio a bit and/or decreasing the amount
of carbs you eat. You might also try cycling your carb-
intake for a few weeks.

A good ephedrine-free thermogenic diet supplement will help
also. Most people have more success losing those "last 10
pounds" by taking a thermogenic half an hour before
exercise, 2 or 3 days per week. It definitely works for me.

Why Most "Slimming" Shakes are a Waste of Money

Most of the popular "slimming" shakes you see on TV and at
the drug store are a waste of money. I can't name names but
the most popular brand is basically made of water, sugar,
and a very small amount of milk or soy protein.

The worst thing about these shakes is that not only do they
not really work all that well, but they're unhealthy too
due to the huge amount of simple sugar they contain!

If you want a "weight loss shake" that works, make your own
by mixing whey protein, low-fat or non-fat milk, and a
bit of fruit in a blender. Whey protein shakes are
extremely healthy and are much more effective for weight
loss and muscle building than those cheap "sugar water"
slimming shakes.
