How to Get More Energy for Exercise

Most people know that the key to both quick and long-term
fat loss is regular exercise. A combination of short,
intense strength training and moderate cardio literally
strips the fat right off of your body.

Unfortunately it's not that simple...

Tons of people tell me that they just don't have the energy
to exercise and, therefore, can't lose weight. They feel
sluggish all the time and the little energy they do have is
used up by work, school, the kids, housework, etc., etc.

What I tell these people is that, first of all, you don't
necessarily HAVE to exercise in order to lose significant
amounts of weight. There are a few effective weight loss
programs that require little or no exercise, such as Dr. Joy

But the real "secret" of having more energy to exercise is
this: eat more complex carbs (whole grain bread, brown rice,
vegetables, etc.) and little or no simple carbs (white
bread, white potatoes, soda, candy, etc.), get 7 - 8 hours
of sleep per night, drink plenty of clean water, and just
start walking, bike riding - EVEN GARDENING - for half an
hour each day.

That's right, even light exercise itself leads to increased
energy levels. More energy means more ability to do regular
intense exercise. It's a terrific "upward spiral" (or
positive feedback loop) that most people who successfully
lose weight eventually plug into.

If you can just force yourself to walk half an hour a day
for a week or two you'll feel 100 times better, you'll have
A LOT more energy, and you'll be more motivated to work out
"for real" and to get into great shape.

After a couple weeks you'll actually look forward to your

The Most Important Time to Eat

The most important time to eat is right before you go food
shopping. Go to the grocery store hungry and you'll buy all
the "diet-killer" foods: cookies, chips, candy, soda, fatty
meats, cheese, etc.

Go to the store with a full stomach and zero hunger and
you'll buy the "diet-friendly" foods: whole-grain breads,
lean meats, vegetables, fruits, low-fat milk, healthy olive
oil-based salad dressings, etc.

This one step could make a huge difference in your diet,
your health, and your weight loss progress. It certainly did
