------------------------------- The Best Exercises for Fat Loss -------------------------------
I get a lot of emails asking about specific exercises and workout routines that are good for fat loss and muscle toning. I'm not a personal trainer so I won't try to lay out a detailed routine with sets, reps, rest periods, etc. I will tell you this though: the vast majority of exercise routines you see in the fitness magazines are WAY too complicated and "involved". Fitness should be fun and relatively simple. Complex workout routines with 30 exercises done 20 different ways is not fun and you should probably avoid them (unless you like that sort of thing!). You can get a GREAT fat-burning workout by sticking to the basics: compound movements that work several muscle groups at once done with little or no rest between sets. Here are my favorites: Squats - This might be the single best exercise you can do. It works about 70% of the muscles in your body, raises metabolism more than any other movement, and significantly increases your body's natural production of growth hormone. Lunges/Walking Lunges - These work your entire lower body very well and are great for toning the butt and thighs. Pushups - Forget about bench pressing. The simple pushup builds functional strength and tones your chest, arms, and upper back in one fell swoop. Crunch - No, crunches by themselves WILL NOT give you great abs. But they will strengthen your very important "core" muscles (abs, obliques, and lower back). I also like deadlifts but don't recommend them unless you have an expert personal trainer teach you perfect form to prevent injury. Focus on doing a few sets of these simple but effective exercises, add 20 - 30 minutes of cardio at the end, and you'll have yourself a trimmer, sexier looking body in no time at all. Note: Another good exercise option I like is the home workout programs offered by BeachBody: http://snipurl.com/beachbody --------------------------------------------------- Research PROVES that all adults should take a daily multivitamin...
In a landmark article published June 19, 2002, The Journal of The American Medical Association (JAMA) announced that all adults should take vitamin supplements to help prevent chronic diseases including cardiovascular disease and cancer. A good multivitamin can also help you lose weight, reduce food cravings, and increase energy by supplying the nutrients our modern diet lacks.
