3 Ways to Lose Weight

There are many different paths you can take when losing
weight and building a better body. No one has yet proven
which one is truly the "best" but, since they all claim to
be, the thousands of assorted diet plans, fitness programs,
and weight loss pills can easily confuse and frustrate.
But the underlying basics of successful weight loss will
never change: healthy diet, regular exercise, and proper
supplementation. You can focus on just one of those areas
and lose weight -- or combine them and lose even more
weight, faster.
Diet-Only Weight Loss
Losing weight through diet alone requires careful tracking
of fat, carb, and protein intake as well as total calorie
intake. You simply have to get your total daily calories
down to a point where you're losing weight gradually but
not damaging your metabolism by consuming too few calories.
Yes, it's a little tricky, but it can be done. And the best
way to do it is to keep a food log where you write down
everything you eat, including calories and nutrient content.
In my opinion the best food log available is the
NutriCounter, a pocket-sized electronic food log and calorie
counter. It's incredibly easy to use and extremely effective

Exercise-Based Weight Loss
Recent studies have proven that regular exercise leads to
significant weight loss, even WITHOUT a reduction in daily
calories. Personally, I prefer exercise-based weight loss
programs because, unlike diet-only programs, they allow some
room for error (or ice cream, chocolate bars, etc.).
Simply put, people who exercise 5 or 6 times per week can
eat a much more "normal" diet and still lose weight. An
extreme example is the diets of long-distance runners,
which often consist of large amounts of pizza, donuts,
soda, and beer. When you burn that many calories through
exercise you can eat just about anything you want!
I suggest you develop a daily exercise "habit" by purchasing
a good piece of exercise equipment (treadmills are the
best!) or getting some good home fitness videos.

Supplement-Based Weight Loss
Unfortunately, too many weight loss programs are based on
only taking supplements and doing nothing else. Yes, you
will lose weight on these programs, but once you stop taking
the supplements the weight WILL come back, I promise.
For this reason I can't recommend any supplement-only plans.
However, I do know for a fact that supplementation can help
to speed up a diet-only, exercise-only, or diet/exercise
combination program. My favorite supplements are the Total

Bottom Line
If you want to lose a lot of weight quickly, I suggest you
combine all 3 of the above methods. They'll all work by
themselves (to an extent) but they'll work MUCH better in
combination! At the very least, begin improving your diet
or doing some form of daily exercise this week. Then, as you
begin to see results, incorporate the other techniques into
your personal weight loss plan and enjoy your leaner, sexier
body!
