Windsor Pilates Review

The Windsor Pilates program is a relatively new home workout that has gotten A LOT of attention lately. It's basically a fast-paced Pilates exercise routine that's designed to burn fat while building lean muscle at the same time.

So does it work? Well, from what I've read, the Windsor Pilates routines DO provide a good full-body workout. Because Pilates Method exercise is so effective at stretching and "lengthening" muscles, most of the immediate (and visible) results from the Windsor Pilates program are due to having stronger, more balanced core (back and stomach) body muscles.

In terms of quick weight loss, you're not likely to see "dramatic" drops in body fat within the first few weeks with this program. If you eat a good high-protein, low-carb diet you will see a good amount of gradual weight loss. And if you throw in some frequent higher-intensity cardio you'll almost certainly get better results from Windsor Pilates and any other home workout programs you follow.

The Windsor Pilates videos are best for those who don't have a lot of exercise experience. The routines are low-intensity and fairly easy to do. They also teach you how to breathe and stretch properly. In fact, good stretching is one of the biggest benefits of the Windsor system.

Some people may find the Windsor Pilates workouts too slow and even boring. It really comes down to your personality and exercise experience. If you're the kind of person that enjoys Yoga and Pilates style workouts, or you're not in very good shape and want a slow, easy-to-do workout, Windsor Pilates is for you. If you're the kind of person that enjoys lots of aerobics-style movements and "excitement" you'll probably be better off getting something different.
